The Assistant Category Manager for Vehicle Health Management Systems (VHMS) is responsible for supporting the Category Manager in managing the overall VHMS category. VHMS is a technology that enables vehicle owners and fleet managers to monitor and manage the health and performance of their vehicles through real-time data collection and analysis.
The Assistant Category Manager will assist in developing and implementing strategies to drive product sales and profitability within the VHMS category. They will work closely with the Category Manager to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities. This includes conducting market research, analyzing customer data, and monitoring industry developments to identify potential growth areas and product enhancements.
One of the key responsibilities of the Assistant Category Manager is to support the development of product assortment plans and pricing strategies. This involves analyzing sales data, conducting pricing analysis, and working with suppliers to negotiate and manage pricing agreements. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and sales to develop effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
In addition to product and pricing management, the Assistant Category Manager will be involved in inventory management and order forecasting. They will work closely with supply chain and operations teams to plan and optimize inventory levels, ensuring product availability and minimizing excess stock. This requires analyzing demand patterns, monitoring sales performance, and collaborating with suppliers and distribution partners to maintain efficient distribution channels.
